Therapy for Individuals

A safe connection makes change possible.

Somewhere along the way, you learned to handle life by pushing feelings aside. It worked, until it didn’t. Now stress shows up as irritability, shutdown, avoidance, or the same arguments on repeat. You might not have words for what’s going on inside, you just know you are tired of reacting, withdrawing, or coping in ways that do not match who you want to be.

My first task is to create a steady, nonjudgmental space where we can slow the whole system down. Therapy can feel unfamiliar or even threatening at first, so we move carefully and collaboratively, building enough safety that you can get curious instead of guarded.

From there, we do focused, evidence-based work. Using Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Emotionally Focused Therapy, we identify the patterns you get pulled into, understand what they are protecting, and heal what keeps them stuck. You will learn how to notice your emotions earlier, regulate your body when it gets activated, and communicate directly without blowing up or disappearing.

The goal is simple and concrete: fewer reactive moments, more clarity, and more closeness. Not by forcing you to become someone you are not, but by helping you build the emotional awareness and relationship skills that make connection possible.
